Cron

Owen and Robert have put together a nice cron implementation for WP. Internally, this is used to schedule future posts. It is also available to plugin authors who want to be able to schedule events. Check out the in-progress API.

Hmm.. I hope it can be used to schedule backup .. It would be great if it could be integrated with WpDatabase Backup plugin .. And a dead link checker .. And and and …

I think it is coming along really well. Are there many limitations to what you can do with it, such as things to schedule or how often?

Please, *please* consider including automatic code updates for those of us without shell access.
Especially useful for those must have security updates.

Yeah, WP-Cron integrates with the WP-backup plugin already.
