I've been experiencing something similar to Benedict (no.8), where custom rules I add get seemingly removed by Wordpress...

Is there a way around this?

It's odd because I don't remember doing anything that would have caused WP to rewrite the htaccess, but one day I realised my additions were gone...

I am coming from DotClear to WordPress. A new importer from DC to WP is available which uses the flatexport file from DC1 or DC2. A recovery feature allows the import of big blogs.

View the <a href="http://cvie.free.fr/public/tuto_dc2wp_en.html" rel="nofollow">tutorial(en)</a> to import a Dotclear blog into a WordPress 2 one.

Feel free to put this importer in WordPress.
